The Lahden Conflict Ii

Since the last event I've gotten a lot of questions about what I'm doing for the next one, if there is going to be a next one, and when it will be. Unfortunately I don't have all the details, nor can i speak to all of them this early on but i wanted to post an official news item for those of you who are still wondering:
I had a chance to get with a few people on the planning committee over the weekend and I'm pleased to officially announce that there will be a UtahAirsoft.com event this year: The Lahden Conflict II. As always we will be following the "choose your own experience" style of play and leave a lot of the details to you, the player. Unfortunately I cannot tell you the setting, what the sides are, the back story or any of that yet; but what i can tell you is that you don't want to miss this one!
I have planned for a late spring / early summer event time, although the exact dates have not been decided on yet.
For those of you who replied to the feedback thread after last years event, we have taken into account ALL of it and we're planning on using that to our advantage and delivering an even better event this year, so thank you.
For all of you who like the large events, get ready and gear up for The Lahden Conflict II!
I guess I'll open it all up to you, reply if you have questions I'll answer what I can. :)
S-Thunder Releases New Line Of Products.

I've got an interesting e-mail here from S-Thunder who has taken the time to send me a press release regarding their latest line of products, here are a few things i found interesting, but are they effective? You decide:
Our gas landmines are designed for durability and multiple use. S-Thunder pressure activated landmines either shoot water or smoke powder with an exploding sound. A pressure release (ie foot release) landmine which can be used with water or smoke powder will soon be available along with other types of landmines and bombs.
Our gas grenades are able to shoot BB pellets or paintballs with a loud exploding sound and adaptable with all grenade launchers in the market. Other types of gas grenades and launchers will become available in the coming months.Our CO2 gas accessories have been extensively tested and able to contain CO2 charges for several months. S-Thunder created special rubber compound for the O-rings to prevent gas leakage as current O-rings available within the marketplace deform due to the extensive CO2 temperature and pressure variations.

The video's get a little hilarious but good demonstration of the product anyway.

New Forum Skin!

Not everyone likes the default theme of the forums, I mean the forums are a pretty cool place but people like to have things customized to their own liking. I figured that since we have a light theme we should get a dark on in here as well, and hopefully some other ones soon!
With that being written, or said, or whatever; I want to let you all know that we have a new skin here, and how to change it!
If you want to select which skin to view the boards with do the following:
Scroll the the bottom of any forum page.
On the left hand side you will see two drop down boxes, one for language and the other is for the skin.
Select the skin you want to use and enjoy!
Some of the skins will not support all area's of the website and may look funky or weird, so if you have any issues let me know and i'll do my best to fix them. Since i'm not coding these by hand I might not be able to fix all problems but i'll do what i can.
PLEASE NOTE: Some skins can change the way the forum actually looks and navigates, so should you change skins please make sure you understand the menu options and where they go or you can get pretty lost.
Either way, enjoy the new stuff, and I'll keep it coming.

On Jan 1 2010 we had an IP change which affected the site, mainly the front page of the website, if you had the forums bookmarked you could still get here. In any event this has now been take care of and there should be no connections issues. Sorry for the three+ days of forum down time, and the 7+ days of the main website downtime.
If anyone is experiencing problems related to connection issues please let me know and copy the link to the page with the issue.
If you have other forum issues please post in the support forum!
